The History of Physical Therapy

Physical therapy first began in the early 1900's in the pre-war era. Well into the war, physical therapists helped war veterans improve their injury for the next 20-30 years. After the war, the polio epidemic became highly popular. Physical therapy was highly derived from the polio epidemic because it left many victims paralyzed, causing PT to be very popular. Over the years, physical therapy had improved drastically from the treatments, to the equipment used to treat patients.
